Diaper cake!

Finished making a diaper cake for my sister in law today! An idea inspired by some ladies from Ph. At first I was stumped because I didn't know what items to insert in between the diapers without going a little spendy, so googled up how to make a diaper cake, and came across this lady who used a champange bottle as a gift for the center piece. I thought it was a great idea because I was trying to be on a minimal budget, so I bought a Moscato because no one can go wrong with that! She'd have to wait for a month before drinking that though, and I know that she will be very thankful for that bottle! I made three layers and I thought it'd be hard to make a diaper cake, but it's quite easy! The hardest part was shopping for the ribbons.

Although I could just go to Micheal's and pick up some ribbons, I didn't think it was worth 7.00 bucks for ribbons that were going to be cut up and thrown out! eeekkk! So I paced back and forth the dollar store for the perfect ribbons despite the fact that they had a very limited collection as compared to other craft stores, I finally decided on a solid pink and yellow flower printed. Both are sheer/ see through. I also bought baby decor of pins and cute pacifiers although at the time I had no idea what I'd do with them to decorate the layers. When I got home, I searched through my sisters' tissues and my collection of crafts and found some pink tissue paper that I used for the middle layer.

On the top layer, I put fake flowers one yellow, and three pink ones to top it off with hot glue gun, and I used the plastic pacifier decors to used as confetti on top and around the pink tissue flowers on the middle layer. Then glued the baby pins around the ribbons on the top layer and last layer.

Here are pictures!
